We are sad to report the tragic early death of Col. Kristine Henderson, M.D., a 2020 IBOT recipient. Dr. Henderson was trained at the Uniformed Services University medical school, later becoming an Air Force physician. Following 9/11, Dr. Henderson volunteered and trained as a Critical Care Air Transport Team physician and in 2003 deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom to Iraq.
When Dr. Henderson returned from Iraq, she became chief of the Critical Care Air Transport Team at Patrick AFB in FL. Unfortunately, she was then diagnosed with multiple sclerosis forcing her to retire from her career as an AF physician.
Below is a short video Dr. Henderson shared with us when she was enjoying her new iBOT.
